Have you ever found yourself thinking, 'I'm running out of time!'?
You know that frantic feeling,
Like there's never enough of it?
Brene Brown has spoken about this before in her book, The Power of Vulnerability:
The first thing we think about when we wake up in the morning is
"I didn't get enough sleep."
and the last thing we think about when we go to bed is
"I didn't get enough done."
Why do we do that?
I remember when Ryan first started podiatry school, I desperately thought,
'This is going to take so much time!!!"
But here's the thing--the time is going to pass anyway, right?
So you may as well go big.
The thing about time is this:
every single one of us is granted the same amount of it each day.
The exact same amount!
How about we stop telling ourselves and each other that there isn't enough of it?
What if we decided today that we have the exact amount of time we need to accomplish the most important things.
And that it doesn't matter if it takes time to accomplish big goals.
Those thoughts won't give you more hours in your day,
but they might help you feel more peaceful about the time you have been given.
And when we are feeling peaceful, we are much more likely to use our time effectively,
instead of running around like a chicken with our head cut off.
Give it a try---
try believing that there IS enough time.
it might just change how effective you are with the time you've been given.
